Seeking Roommate: Private Bed/Bath in Updated Bungalow 1 Mile from UC Health House (Shared Housing)

Seeking housemate!

We’re looking for someone to join us in the 3rd bedroom of our sweet little bungalow in NW Aurora! I own the home and have been renting this 3rd bedroom (with its own ensuite bath) to short/mid term medical travelers, but would... love to welcome a longer term roommate to the mix.

The Scoop:

We are professional women in our 30’s and 40’s. Jess is in medical school, Crystal works from home. We’re fairly quiet and low key. We cook a lot and like to share (gluten/dairy free carnivores, but to each their own). We enjoy the outdoors, live music, dancing, working out/running, snuggling the dog, burning affirmations under the moon, plant medicine, and gardening. Jess loves horses. Crystal travels often. Cis gendered, hetero (we’re not a couple), politically left of center, and enjoy ladies night at the firing range. Jess has a corgi/heeler mix pup that loves people and other dogs. He’s the politest prince with a ton of personality, and will keep you entertained and snuggled.

This house is newly updated, clean and bright, with thoughtful, highly functional details. It was completely renovated in 2021 with new appliances, granite countertops, tile and hardwood (no carpet), and ample windows with natural light (and blackout blinds). We have a fully stocked kitchen (full spice/oils cabinet, air fryer, blender, etc), big screen TV, high-speed wifi, outdoor patio, and on street parking. The place is furnished, including the room for rent, with furniture chosen for style and functionality to maximize comfort. We’re open to the new roomie bringing their own furniture and kitchen stuff too!

Mine and Jess’ bedrooms are on one side of the house with our shared bath. The 3rd room for rent is on the other side of the house with its own private bath. We all share the living room, kitchen, and dining nook.

The neighborhood is quiet, diverse, and working class, with friendly, helpful neighbors that are mostly families. Aurora is one of the most diverse cities in the country, and THE most diverse in Colorado. We and our neighbors walk dogs around the neighborhood, play basketball in the park, kids ride their bikes down the street, etc. The house is walkable/bikeable to Anschutz/CU Medical Campus, Stanley Marketplace (and miles of connected trails), Bluff Lake Nature Center, Sand Creek Greenway, 7 neighborhood parks, historic downtown Aurora, Moorhead Rec Center, Planet Fitness, and tons of authentic international restaurants. You can eat amazing, Food Network famous cuisine from 10+ different countries within a mile of the house!

Are respectful of 10pm - 7am quiet hours.

Don’t watch a ton of loud tv. Or if you do you don’t mind watching in your room.

Help keep the place clean and tidy (not obsessively so, but it’s co-living).

Are 420 friendly, but don’t smoke anything inside the house.
